DRUG RAID: Abbots Langley woman arrested as part of police drug raids

An Abbots Langley woman is one of 20 people who have been arrested by police as part of a series of recent raids relating to county lines drug gangs.

The individual currently remains unidentified, with the only details made available by Herts Police being her age of 21, and that she was arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs (namely cannabis), with her since having been released from custody on bail.

The operations took place as part of a national county lines week of action between Monday, October 9, and Sunday, October 15, with the force’s Operation Mantis team being supported by the operational support group and local crime units.

The officers carried out search warrants targeting gangs involved in drug trafficking. The addresses were in Borehamwood, Cheshunt, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City and Luton.

As well as the twenty arrested individuals, several items were seized by police. This included £22,000 in cash, £40,000 worth of class A and class B drugs and an imitation firearm. Four people were also safeguarded during the operations, including three children.

Other arrested individuals came from London, Hemel Hempstead, Stevenage, St Albans, Cheshunt and Hertford, all for various offences. Six individuals from Luton, Dagenham, Kent and Southampton were also charged with various offences.
