Artist Antonio Russo, who also owns Oscars Pizza in Kings Langley is putting two of his paintings at auction in a bid to raise money for the NHS.
One is an abstract piece and the other a Stony piece, people who would like to enter the draw will need to donate £20, they can donate more if they wish to.
Antonio, will then choose randomly the two lucky winners of the paintings. He said: “ I’ve been in and out of hospitals, so I got to see the amazing work the NHS workers do first hand.
“We all should be so proud and in awe of NHS staff and volunteers as they work tirelessly to save lives. This means staying away from their homes and families, working day and night, to treat as many people as possible in need of care.
“We, the nation, can help. Let’s show our gratitude and respect for the frontline NHS, and together beat this virus.
“As NHS staff and volunteers look after COVID-19 patients in their greatest hour of need, we can help take care of the well-being of our NHS people.”
Donations could then be used for well-being packs for staff. Cost of travel, parking, accommodation. Providing devices to communicate with friends and family to patients whilst they are in hospital or isolating.
And can also be used for longer term mental health support of NHS staff, volunteer, patients and their families and to help patients leave hospital quickly and safely and remain or stay out of hospital.
Antonio mentioned he will also be donating £100 to the NHS from the sale of each paintings on his website.
