Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident in Watford town centre where a man was allegedly bitten by a dog.
The incident occurred at around 5.20pm yesterday (Friday, July 16) as the dog was being walked along the High Street by its owner.
It is reported that the dog jumped towards a man sitting outside the Moon Under Water pub (pictured).
The dog allegedly bit the man on the arm, causing injuries. The man was taken to hospital for further assessment and treatment.
The dog, believed to be a Cane Corso breed, was seized by officers.
Detective Constable Steve Whittaker said: “We are investigating this incident and would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident take place. If you saw it, please get in touch.”
A 22-year-old man from Watford was arrested on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control causing injury. He has been released while the investigation continues.
