Detectives investigating an assault outside a shop in Watford are appealing for information and witnesses.

It happened outside Savers in the High Street between 2.10pm and 2.15pm on Wednesday, January 27.

The male victim was physically assaulted by a customer who also threatened him with a metal pole.

Detective Constable Gemma Ball, from the Case Investigation Team, is investigating. She said: “This was a distressing incident for the victim and we are continuing to investigate the circumstances.

“We are now appealing for witnesses as it happened in a high footfall area, and we believe there were many other people around at the time who may have seen what happened. If you can help, please get in touch.”

You can email DC Ball at gemma.ball@herts.pnn.police.uk, report information online at herts.police.uk/report, use online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101.
