Published on: 13th January 2025   |   By: Nik Allen   |   Category: Uncategorized

A teenager has been arrested during a warrant carried out to target a drug gang in Watford.

The operation carried out on Thursday, January 9, was led by the Operation Relentless team, Hertfordshire Constabulary‘s dedicated gangs unit, and supported by the Operational Support Group.

During the search, more than £3,000 in class A drugs, three bladed weapons and a large amount of cash were seized. A 17-year-old boy from Watford was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of an offensive weapon. He was charged and has been released on bail whilst the investigation continues.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Operation Relentless team said: “This latest operation is part of our continuing drive to disrupt and dismantle gangs operating in Hertfordshire. We have made great advances in the battle against drugs in the county over recent years, and have again seized a large amount of drugs and cash, dealing a blow to criminal networks in the process.

“Organised crime groups use violence, supply drugs, and commit a whole range of crimes that pose a real threat to the community. Operation Relentless is Hertfordshire Constabulary’s response to this ongoing threat. As part of this work, we depend on information from members of the public to help us crack down on drug-related crime. Any information you can provide, no matter how small it may seem, could help us to identify and apprehend drug dealers.”
