Northwood FC have parted ways with first team manager Scott Dash following two heavy defeats in recent weeks.
The Woods announced the departure on Wednesday, October 9, having lost 8-2 away at Chertsey Town the night before in a midweek BetVictor Isthmian League fixture.
It was the most goals they’d conceded in a league match since 1975 and left them in 17th place.
The humiliating defeat was the nail in the coffin for Dash, especially as the team had suffered their biggest home defeat in five-and-a-half years in their previous match, losing 1-6 to Waltham Abbey at The AcreTweed Stadium.
In a statement following Dash’s departure, chairman Ian Barry said: “The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Scott for his hard work since taking over last year and wish him the very best in future.
“The process of appointing a new manager begins now and a further statement will be released in due course.”
Northwood FC are now inviting applications for the role of first team manager.
Applicants should send a football CV, together with a brief summary as to why they believe they are suitable for this important role at the club.
The deadline for applications is noon on Sunday, October 13, 2019.
