Young filmmakers from Chorleywood came together to celebrate the directors and producers of the future at the annual Chorleywood Film Club Competition awards.
On Saturday, March 22, Chorleywood Memorial Hall was filled with budding young filmmakers, family and friends to watch this year’s entries.
This year’s competition was organised by Chorleywood resident and filmmaker Eleanor Dolan and the awards were presented by fellow filmmaker Tom Clarkson.
Not only did the aspiring producers see their films on the big screen, but it was also a chance for the young artists to listen to industry experts.
This year’s first place spots went to Year 3-4 students Lily Potts and Jessica Lawlor for The Girl Who Got Lost In Time, and Ruben Meyjes-Milne in the Year 5-6 category for Medusa The Gorgan.
First spot in the Year 7-9 category went to Maleesha Dickwella for House Sister, and for the Year 10-13 category Aksel Hanley took top spot with Silent Invasion.
