Plans to build a £100million development in South Ruislip will be further delayed after supermarket rival Sainsbury’s won a High Court battle. A judge granted permission on April 23 for a judicial review of the process through which the development of the derelict former Arla Foods dairy site, in Victoria Road, was given planning consent. The two day review is expected to take place by the end of July and could ultimately lead to the plans, which include a rival Asda supermarket, being thrown out. Andrew Rennie, managing director of Citygrove Ltd, who are the firm behind the plans on the former Express Dairy told My Ruislip News that he was disappointed that the planned start of the development had been delayed further. He said: “We are very disappointed. Sainsbury’s had an arguable case and the judge then granted permission for the review to take place.
