This year’s edition of the annual Kings Langley Carnival will be held on Saturday, June 22, the parish council has announced.
The event, which takes place on Kings Langley Common, went down in history last year when 435 carnival-goers broke the Guinness World Record for the largest number of people dancing to the 1970s classic ‘Oops Upside Your Head‘ at the same time.
This year’s celebration will bring everything residents expect and more, with plans afoot from organisers Kings Langley Parish Council to feature several exciting new performers on the carnival’s main stage.
There will also be a treasure trove of stalls setting up shop on the day, with everything from games and puzzles to local produce, crafts and organisations all on site.
Carol Chandler, chair of the carnival’s organising committee, said: “We try to offer the widest range of things to do away from the stage. These include welcoming some commercial stalls selling their own merchandise and food, but we are really keen to see local goods and produce being showcased.
“Also, it’s a great opportunity for local charities and groups to make some money and raise awareness of the valuable work or activities they do every other day of the year.”
