A newly formed girls football team have smashed their first season, progressing to the semi-finals of the Hertfordshire U10s League Trophy Shield.
The Croxley Green Girls U10 ONYX team have had an incredible first season, fighting hard in each and every match and showing their skills on the pitch.
Matthew Gratze, Croxley Green FC coach, said: “In our first season, the girls have gone from strength to strength, and on top of many successes in the league, we are now enjoying a great cup run, having reached the semi-final.
“It is great for us coaches and parents to see the girls enjoying themselves so much.”
The Croxley team faced the Borehamwood Youth Lionesses in the league trophy semi-final on Saturday, April 26. They sadly lost the match, but Matthew said it was “an amazing result for their first season”.
The team are always on the lookout for new players. If you are interested, please get in touch via email at info@croxleygreenfc.co.uk
