A Berkhamsted resident and MyLocalNews reporter is set to jump from 13,000 feet to raise vital funds for a charity that supports those in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
The Hertford-based Phoenix seeks to support those individuals who fall through the cracks on the NHS and those on low incomes to access the care they otherwise would not receive. Phoenix funds these individuals to access alcohol home detoxes, residential rehab, one-to-one therapy, and an intensive outpatient dayhab program.
On Ocotber 20, news reporter Darius Morgan will be taking a leap of faith with his first ever skydive with the hope of raising £500 to go towards Phoenix’s Wilderness Program, a therapeutic five-day retreat for individuals with addiction disorders.
Darius said: “There is a great deal of stigma around those who have battled addiction in their lives. Phoenix charity does an amazing job helping some incredible and deserving people in their recovery journeys.”
