Dacorum Mencap has received a £1,000 donation from the Amazon Hemel Hempstead team.
Dacorum Mencap supports people with a learning disability, their families and carers, in the Borough of Dacorum in Hertfordshire.
This includes the towns of Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring, plus surrounding villages.
The Amazon team visited Dacorum Mencap at The Market Arms Tavern to celebrate the donation and learn more about the charity’s services.
The donation from Amazon will go towards purchasing a bright pink gazebo, which will help them stand out at events.
Shauli Ziv, Site Leader at Amazon in Hemel Hempstead, said: “We are thrilled to provide a donation to Dacorum Mencap. As the voice of learning disabilities, the charity plays such an important role in the community helping people reach their full potential.
“The team had a great time meeting them and we all look forward to seeing how the donation helps Dacorum Mencap continue to provide services to the community.”

The donation forms part of the “Amazon in The Community” programme whereby the company supports the communities around its operating locations across the UK.
