A mother from Croxley Green is taking on the incredible challenge of cycling more than 850 miles to raise vital funds for a local wildlife rescue centre.
Deborah Denman will cycle 874 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats over two weeks in June, to fundraise for Chris Wicks Wildlife Rescue Centre (CWWR) at Stockers Farm.
CW Wildlife Rescue (CWWR) rescues injured and orphaned wildlife and helps to rehabilitate them back into the wild.
Deborah told CROXLEYNews: “I want to do this challenge because I am animal mad and want to raise money for a local cause. Chris does incredible work at his wildlife sanctuary trying to rehabilitate the animals.
“This will be a long hot sweaty ride and it will probably rain. However, it will all be worth it to help give the rescued animals a chance at a long and happy life.”
Deborah, who works as a cancer nurse, has previously taken on many active challenges for charity, including cycling London to Brighton and running The London Marathon.
