Students from Stagecoach Stanmore showcased their talents in a performance at an iconic West End theatre last month.
On Sunday, June 25, the local performing arts group took to the stage at Shaftesbury Theatre for a performance inspired by hit TV show Stranger Things.
They joined students from across the country to perform a variety of world-famous songs from musicals, films and television shows, including Top Gun, The Greatest Showman and Catch Me If You Can.
The students’ families and friends enjoyed the performance, which showcased their creativity, courage and skills.
Speaking ahead of the performance, Stagecoach Stanmore principal Jayne Hardy said: “We’re so excited to have shared our work with a West End audience and our family and friends. The students have worked really hard on top of busy weeks at school and deserved a real moment in the spotlight!”
Recent Stagecoach survey research highlighted the positive impact of the arts on children’s happiness and creativity, with 85 per cent of children citing singing and dancing with their peers as a major contributing factor to their happiness.
