Chalfont St Peter bow out of the FA Cup First Round Qualifying with a 2-0 defeat over Chichester City.
The Saints were unbeaten in all competitions going into this afternoon’s match (September 7) but couldn’t stop Chichester’s resilience.
The first half saw minimal action as both sides keeping the scoreline at bay. It wasn’t until a 72nd minute penalty converted by Gicu Iordache that the game unravelled for The Saints.
Chichester’s Emmett Dunn then killed off all possible hopes for the Buckinghamshire side as he made the score 2-0 with three minutes to play.
Chalfont St Peter may have been knocked out of the FA Cup, but with strong league performances in Isthsmian League South Central, the club has a lot to look forward to.
