St Helen’s School in Northwood is opening its doors to the wider community, with a season of cultural and entertainment events planned for the future.
The first of these events was a book club evening, set to be a regular event, this one featuring Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE, a women in STEM advocate who discussed her new book She’s In CTRL.
The event, which took place on Thursday, September 15, was hosted by the producer of the Radio 2 Book Club, Joe Haddow.
Now, the school is hoping that in the near future, it can be fresh cultural events, workshops, exhibitions and fitness and leisure activities.
Through this initiative, the school is hoping to use the money to increase monetary support for their ambitious bursary and scholarship programme, which aids all who want to get a good education regardless of their financial situation.
