Homeowners on Watford Road and surrounding areas are being asked to remain vigilant after a distraction burglary.
On Thursday, June 13, between 1.45pm and 2.45pm the offender has called at a house stating that he was carrying out work on a neighbour’s rear fence and he needed to show the homeowner the work they were carrying out.
The homeowner has allowed the offender entry to the rear garden and has stayed with him at all times.
On the offender leaving the homeowner has noticed drawers had been removed and items taken. It is believed the offender had an accomplice that gained entry whilst the offender distracted the homeowner showing them the alleged work that was to be carried out on the rear fence.
