Four members of Croxley Green Cricket Club will put their bats down for golf clubs in the Longest Day Golf Challenge.

Danny Dallas, Sean Halvey, Graham Ayrton and Mark Hobden are taking part in the nationwide Macmillan event in memory of Sean and Graham’s dads who lost their battle with cancer.

The four men are completing a 4-ball, aiming to raise £1,000 for the cancer charity on Friday, July 12 at Rickmansworth Golf Club.

Their team name is The Croxley Guild Hackers.

Croxley Guild of Sport, where the club plays, is also hosting a BBQ, raffle and auction the same evening.

Graham said: “I would like to thank Rickmansworth Golf Club for their very generous actions in waiving green fees and volunteering a £100 raffle prize in the way of golf/trolley vouchers.”
