An 11 year old from Bushey has jumped on the Prime energy drink trend to help promote sustainability.
Charlie Belasco decided to collect his Prime energy drink bottles and upcycle them into canvas art in order to promote recycling and reusing.
Speaking about why he decided to create the artwork, Charlie said it was a way to bring together his love for art and the importance of recycling.
He said: “I wanted my art to reflect the drink spilling out onto the canvas, which was inspired by [YouTubers and Prime promoters] KSI and Logan Paul’s mission to quench thirst with mouth-watering flavours.
“Each canvas takes me around four hours to complete and I’ve already sold a few pieces.”
His mother Natalie said: “It’s the craze with Prime; all the kids are obsessed with the bottles.
“They recently had Earth Day at school and learnt lots about recycling and Charlie has always been very aware of things, especially when it comes to the sea and animals.”
Charlie has sold a number of his paintings and donated five per cent of the profits to the Friends of the Earth charity.
