Bargain hunters in St Albans proved that nothing can stand in between them and a top deal as they crawled under Poundland’s broken shutters to gain access to the store.
The employees of Poundland in St Peter’s Street may have been ready for a day off when they found out the shutters at the entrance of the store were jammed on a sunny day at the end of August.
But, perhaps to their dismay, the shutter opened just enough for customers to crawl underneath and get shopping – and shop they did.
Customers will have initially been discouraged by a note that was put up on the shutter which read: “Dear customers, our shutter is broken, we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. We will be open today as soon as we fix the problem.”
However, right next to that note, there was another which said in bold: “We are still open just crawl in! Mind the head.”
LADbible had a field day catching all the keen customers make their way under the faulty shutters. To see the video, search ‘LADbible Poundland Shutters Are Broken’ on Facebook.
