Chalfont St Peter Parish Council (CSPPC) has thanked “selfless” volunteer tree guardians for their efforts in helping trees in the area to thrive.
CSPPC’s tree guardians care for and water trees to ensure they stay in good condition.
CSPPC councillor Kate Southworth said: “Behind every tree is a team of selfless volunteers improving the air and health of our village. If you see them out with their watering cans, give them a wave and a thank you for all they are doing.
“Planting the trees is the easy bit. They need care and attention. This is where the huge team of Chalfont St Peter tree guardians kicks in. To date, we’ve had 180 wonderful volunteers (past and present) who really look after our trees.”
