People in Watford are being asked to help shape the future of transport and travel in the town.
A major town-wide consultation has been launched by Watford Borough Council and Hertfordshire County Council, seeking feedback from local people and businesses on how they get around the town and to understand how they see this changing in future.
The councils are asking people to get involved to help inform a new Sustainable Transport Strategy for Watford that will shape how people travel to 2050 and play a major part in the town reaching its target of being carbon neutral by 2030.
According to the council, achieving this will mean changes to both personal and business transport and travel habits. The online survey is available at watford.gov.uk/travel-survey
Peter Taylor, Elected Mayor of Watford said: “It is vitally important that we make travelling around Watford right for our community and businesses. A modern, reliable and sustainable transport system will be at the heart of the town’s success as a place to live and do business.
“The right transport and travel solutions that allow us to move around Watford easily will support local jobs, make sure our economy thrives and ensure the community can make healthy, environmentally friendly choices.”
The survey is open until December 23.
