Members of the Harrow community, including a Pinner resident, were celebrated at an annual awards ceremony last month.
The red carpet was rolled out for the annual Harrow’s Heroes Awards on Wednesday, September 13, where 12 teams and individuals were recognised for their achievements and hard work.
More than 100 guests including finalists, sponsors and dignitaries attended the event at The Great Barn at Headstone Manor.
The winners include Pinner resident Jennifer Youle, who won the Lifetime Achievement Award after spending more than four decades volunteering in the local community.
Pinner Safer Neighbourhood Team celebrated Jennifer’s win on social media, where they said: “Congratulations to Pinner resident and ward panel member Jennie Youle on her well-deserved Harrow’s Heroes award. She is the Queen of Pinner.”
Councillor Jean Lammiman, cabinet member for community and culture, said: “This is one of my favourite events. It is so important to me that we give recognition to the contribution of ordinary people who go out of their way to make a difference to Harrow residents and the wider community.”
