COSTUME CLEARANCE: Rickmansworth Players offload iconic wardrobe

Published on: 22nd August 2019   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Uncategorized

The Rickmansworth Players are offloading tonnes of historic costumes as their wardrobe facility is ‘bursting at the seams.’

Ricky Players, an award-winning community performing arts group that’s been going for over 75 years, are finally clearing out their massive wardrobe to make room for future plays, and residents are being given the chance to buy dresses through the ages, men’s suits, uniforms, hats, dance sets, fur items and maybe even some vintage pieces.

Jill Hammond, a Ricky Player of over 50 years, has invited residents to the sale taking place at the Rickmansworth Wardrobe, behind Tudor Parade, on Berry Lane Mill End, WD3 4DF. It’s open on Saturday, September 21 from 10am to 2pm and Sunday, September 22 from 10am to 1pm.

The not-for-profit organisation’s costume collection comes from years of amateur dramatics, plays, musicals, acapella choirs, youth theatre performances, and the ‘Murder Mystery Team’.

The Players are still going strong with over 100 members. To keep up with their latest shows and news, go to www.rickmansworth-players.org.uk
