Published on: 19th January 2022   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

A Rickmansworth woman has been sentenced to 14 months in prison following an assault on several police officers over the Christmas period.

Lucy Elliot, 45, of Longcroft Road, Maple Cross was arrested in Northway, Rickmansworth on December 29 last year. After being apprehended for drunken and disorderly conduct in public (which she has also pled guilty to), she attacked three male officers on duty.

Upon being arrested, she was held on remand and subsequently imprisoned overnight in Hatfield remand court. Elliot plead guilty two days later, to the charges of assault on a police officer, being drunk and disorderly in public and using threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour to cause alarm or distress. She was sentenced the same day, December 31.

Elliot was already serving a six-month suspended sentence for two racially/religiously aggravated assaults offences and attacking two emergency workers.

Sentenced at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court, the 14 months she received covers both the most recent assaults and the activation of her suspended sentence. Elliot was also ordered to pay costs of £150 to the court.
