COOL CONFIDENCE: Chorleywood charity founder to speak at workplace inclusivity event in Watford

The founder of Chorleywood-based charity Mission EmployAble is among the speakers at a free event celebrating diversity and inclusivity.

The Disability Confident Embracing Diversity in the Workplace event takes place from 10am to 12pm on Tuesday, September 24. Organised by Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) in conjunction with various bodies including Mission EmployAble, the Watford Chamber of Commerce, Sunnyside Rural Trust, and the Department for Work and Pensions, the event will be hosted by Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden.

Mission EmployAble founder and chair Katharine Weston said: “We are inviting employers from all sectors to attend this event, which promises to be an engaging and inspiring morning.

“We want to spread awareness that adults with learning disabilities are typically hard-working, reliable and popular with colleagues and customers.”

The event is open to employers from all sectors, who will enjoy presentations from industry experts and lively interactive sessions.
