Police in Northwood Hills are continuing to warn residents about what they can do to prevent vehicle-related crimes.
Theft of catalytic converters remains a major issue around the area, with police advising residents to use a ‘Cage Clamp’, a device that locks into your car or van around the converter and make it hard to remove. They also advise for use of tilt sensor burglar alarms.
They also advise vehicle owners to keep valuables out of view inside cars. This includes spare change, sunglasses, bags, cameras and any other thing which might look eye-catching to criminals, as well as reporting any suspicious activity.
