A Northwood-based business set up earlier this year has been recognised as part of a national campaign celebrating small businesses.
Bibevie, which was set up Rhian Thompson in June after initially being delayed due to the pandemic, specialises in matching clothes and baby bibs with a clip in place function.
Now the company has been recognised as part of the #SmallBiz100 campaign promoting independent businesses across the country.
Rhian initially set up the business after noticing that nearly every new born, including her own was wearing their bib as a cape.
She said: “The bib would inevitably be in the wrong place anyway and it just used to drive me mad. Thought that there had to be something better than this.”
Rhian added that business has been going well and is proud of the sustainable element of the business.
She said: “I wanted to have something I was really proud of and not contributing to climate change.
“We use bamboo material, don’t include any unnecessary packaging and it’s all sustainable and compostable.”
