Chalfont St Peter AFC came from two goals down to beat bottom of the table Staines Town this afternoon (March 7), after a late winner from Wraynel Hercules completed the comeback.

Two first half goals from Tayo Oyebola and Jamie Splatt allowed Staines to take a shock two-goal lead into the half-time break.

On the 53rd minute, Okem Chime managed to pull one back for The Saints, which kick-started the unbelievable comeback.

It wasn’t too long after when The Saints found themselves back on level terms, as on the 65th minute they were awarded a penalty which Riccardo Alexander-Greenaway took confidently and placed it beyond the Staines goalkeeper.

The home side left it late, but the hard work paid off in the end when Wraynel Hercules lobbed the Staines goalkeeper on the 89th minute.

Chalfont St Peter have now found a bit of form as of late after previously going on a shocking run of form.

The Saints will hope the can build on this victory next weekend when they travel to Chertsey Town next weekend.
