Officers from the Dacorum Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) visited the Liberty Christian Centre in Grovehill, Hemel Hempstead, on Sunday, October 15, as part of their ongoing mission to connect with the community.
The team attended a service delivered by Pastor Morris, before local officer PC Charlie Eke addressed the congregation and discussed the importance of increasing public confidence in policing.
PC Eke said: “In order to deliver the best service for the people of Dacorum, it is important that police maintain positive relationships with all the communities we serve.
“Events such as this not only allow people’s voices to be heard, but also expand our cultural awareness and understanding first-hand.”
This comes after the SNT held a Safer Streets event in early October, to enable residents to discuss any issues or concerns.
The SNT visited the Crabtree Lane area and chatted to people about the work officers are doing and also passed on crime prevention advice.
