COME TOGETHER: Colour run comes to Hemel Hempstead

Published on: 27th May 2026   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category: Featured

Fun, laughter and colour will be the order of the day for the local community on Sunday, June 28, as everyone is invited to take part in a colour run in support of local children with disabilities.

The Playskill Colour Run takes place at Chambersbury School, Hemel Hempstead from 10am, and will raise funds for local charity, Playskill – a charity that supports pre-school children with physical disabilities across Hertfordshire.

Through free specialist play‑based therapy sessions, support at home, training and family events, Playskill develops vital communication, movement and life skills in children, while building resilience and confidence within families.

Featuring a wheelchair-accessible route with medals and sunglasses for everyone who takes part, this inclusive event is open to all. Alongside the run, participants and spectators can enjoy a lively family fun day atmosphere, including activities and refreshments.

Playskill CEO, Niki Michael, said: “This event is about bringing the community together for a day of joy, colour and inclusivity, while making a real difference in the lives of local children and their families.

“We’d love to see as many people as possible come along and take part – having fun whilst making a positive difference in their local community.”
