The extensive Heritage Open Days programme includes sites such as Watford Museum, St Marys and Holy Rood Churches, Pump House, Watford Palace Theatre, Watford FC and many others.

There will also be performances from New Adventures with their ‘Doorstep Duets’ tour on Wednesday 7 September at Daisy’s Café in Cassiobury Park.

On 13 September, Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor will be hosting a tour of the beautiful Cheslyn House and Gardens, detailing the history of the gardens and the exotic plants collected by Henry and Daisy Colbeck when they travelled the world.

Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “It is always wonderful to host these free open days to highlight Watford’s rich heritage and culture but especially this year as Watford celebrates 100 years as a borough. The Heritage Open Days programme will give residents the opportunity to visit buildings in our town that they normally wouldn’t and experience the history for themselves.”
