Players and staff at Kings Langley FC have hailed a fantastic season despite the club narrowly missing out on a play-off place.
Steve Conroy’s men ran out two-nil winners against Frome Town FC after a Steve Ward penalty and a Mitchell Weiss strike earned three precious points but Poole Town’s 7-0 away demolition of Staines Town means Langley miss out by one point.
Langley have defied all the odds this season for one of the most successful campaigns in the club’s history but defender Callum Adebyi insists all at the club can feel justifiably proud of their achievements.
He tweeted: “Although we’ll be disappointed to miss out on the play offs what a great effort from a great group of lads! Also a big thank you to all the staff and all the fans for your work behind the scenes @KLFCofficial
Meanwhile, Poole Town also paid tribute to Kings Langley.
They tweeted: “We would also like to congratulate @KLFCofficial on an outstanding season, remarkable for a club tipped for relegation to finish so high up the table”
