A road in Hemel Hempstead is currently closed as police are carrying out investigative work regarding the death of a man last month.
A spokesperson for Herts Police said: “There is currently a significant emergency services presence in Thumpers, Hemel Hempstead. This is in relation to an ongoing investigation following an incident that resulted in the death of a man earlier this month.
“Officers continue to conduct extensive enquiries, and as part of this they are re-visiting the scene of the incident.
“Road closures have been put in place and we would ask members of the public to please avoid the area.”
The incident in question is that of the death of Andrew Jellis, aged 49, who was pronounced dead at the scene at around 8pm on February 1 after having been found trapped underneath his vehicle.
A 30-year-old man from Hatfield was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
