Rickmansworth School will reopen tomorrow (February 28) despite two of its pupils still awaiting results after being tested for coronavirus.
The school was initially closed until Monday, March 2, but the latest advice from Public Health England has meant they are now able to reopen on Friday, a school day sooner than expected.
A spokesperson from Rickmansworth School said: “Some of our pupils recently returned from a ski trip to Italy in a non-lock down area. Since returning, two pupils who were suffering cold-like symptoms have been tested for coronavirus as a precaution. We are currently awaiting the results.
“We closed the school today on purely precautionary early advice from Public Health England and as the situation has been changing, we have monitored it and are now able to reopen the school on the latest advice from Public Health England. We will be opening the school tomorrow (February 28).”
More on this as we get it.
