A Rickmansworth author has written a brand-new children’s book for Christmas to raise money for a young people’s wheelchair charity.
Linda Flynn, in close collaboration with Ruislip-based illustrator Linda Laurie, is releasing Santa’s Supersonic Sleigh, to be published by Chapeltown Books.
A summary of the book reads: “Ride along with Santa and Rudolph, as they adapt their sleigh with gadgets to take them around the world. Learn about some of the countries on the way.
“This beautifully illustrated book is full of fun and humour, when Santa tries to deliver all the presents on time.”
The idea for the book came to Linda when her son was still small and asked her how Santa Claus could travel around the world in just one night.
As part of the book’s release, a percentage of the royalties will be donated to Whizz Kidz, the UK’s leading charity for young wheelchair users.
Santa’s Supersonic Sleigh is currently at Amazon, Waterstones and Barnes & Noble, with a recommended retail price of £9.
