Residents of the Hanover Court retirement housing complex in Croxley got a special Christmas treat today through a visit from schoolchildren from Yorke Mead with some festive goodies in tow.
Some of the school’s school councillors came on the trip, bringing with them handmade Christmas cards made by the pupils for the residents, and mince pies for them to tuck into.
Yorke Mead is hoping to re-establish its weekly get-togethers with the elderly community at Hanover Court in the new year, after the formerly regular visits were suspended in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
