The sound of Christmas will fill the community this December as Northwood Choral Society present their annual Christmas Concert.
Taking place at St John’s United Reformed Church on Hallowell Road at 7.30pm on Sunday, December 7, visitors can look forward to an evening of festive warmth and classical brilliance.
At the heart of the programme is Vivaldi’s Gloria, an uplifting masterpiece by the Italian composer best known for The Four Seasons. Described as both joyful and deeply moving, the work captures the angels’ message of “peace on Earth”, perfectly balancing the merriment and reflection of the Christmas season.
The concert will also feature seasonal pieces by French composer Francis Poulenc and a selection of traditional carols, ensuring there’s something for every listener to enjoy.
Tickets cost £20 and include a glass of mulled wine and mince pies.
Members of the choir will also be performing Christmas carols at Waitrose in Northwood at 11am on Saturday, November 29.
