The organiser of a farmers market that was only set up a little more than a year ago has announced its closure.
Since March 2021, on the first Saturday of every month, the Bushey Farmers Market has set up shop outside the Bushey Arena, selling a wide range of foodstuffs, treats and crafted items to visitors.
However, in an announcement on their Facebook page on Monday, August 22, those organising the regular event stated it would no longer be able to continue, primarily due to issues concerning cost and time.
“Unfortunately, after much consideration, we have decided to close the farmers market.
“This is because do not have the time to focus on the market and just cannot get the amount of stall holders to join us to cover costs, or the right type of stalls to keep people interested in attending.
“Thank you to all the public in the area for attending over the last year and we hope you all understand our position.
“If anyone may be interested in taking over I will be more than happy to put you into contact with the venue. We wish everyone a healthy and happy future.”
