The car park machine at Chorleywood station should soon be able to accept 5p and 10p coins, operator NCP has revealed. After My Chorleywood & Loudwater News was contacted by Richard Bloomfield who said he didn’t use the car park anymore because newly installed machines did not accept 5p or 10p coins, we approached NCP for response. A spokesman said a roll out of new software to allow for machines at car parks to be able to take the new coins is planned. He added: “We also provide a variety of methods of payment including pay by phone, credit/debit card to allow customers to pay the current tariff as easily and conveniently as possible. We do apologise for the issue with these new coins, which most car park operators are experiencing, and are doing our utmost to ensure that there will be machines in each car park that accepts these new coins as soon as possible.”
