Chorleywood schoolgirl’s powerful poem is loved all over the world

A 10-year-old schoolgirl’s work which has gone viral on social media has been dubbed as the best poem people have ever read by Twitter users. 

The Year 6 pupil who goes to Christ Church Chorleywood C of E School wrote the poem which reads forwards and backwards and tells two heart-warming stories about the struggles of living with dyslexia.

The poem, which was shared by her teacher, Jane Broadis, has been seen by millions of Twitter users across the world.

The tweet read: “Today in Y6 we looked at poems that could be read forwards & backwards. I was stunned by this one written by one of my 10 year olds. Please share – I would love her work to be appreciated further afield. I wonder if it could even find a publisher?”

The poem which has inspired thousands of Twitter users has even drawn some to tears.

One Twitter user said: “Made this grown man cry. I must have read it over twenty times already.”

Another tweet read: “As the parent of a dyslexic, this brought tears to my eyes. It was really needed today and I couldn’t love it more”

The tweet also had some famous people react to the powerful poem.

Award-winning chef, Jamie Oliver tweeted: “Love this! Very talented person for sure x”

At the time of writing, the tweet had been reacted to over 225,000 times.
