A resident from Chalfont St Giles who appeared on the front cover of last month’s chalfonts&gerrardscrossnews has looked back on her experience of appearing on TV talent show The Voice.
Hayley Chart wowed the judges with her unique voice and stunning stage presence, catching the attention of both will.i.am and Olly Murs in the blind auditions. In the callbacks, broadcast on December 16, Hayley was asked to perform John Legend’s Ordinary People for will.i.am and special guest Paloma Faith.
The judges were clearly torn as both described the group of contestants as a “strong” one. will.i.am described Hayley as “unapologetically raw” and said that her “magical” blind audition was the first to elicit a crowd response.
Unfortunately, Hayley was not picked to go through to the next round, but she was called back to the finals to witness will.i.am’s duo Jen and Liv being crowned as winners.
Hayley said: “Even though I didn’t win, I have got so much from The Voice. I’m still making lots of TikTok videos and I recently met up with a homeless boy and we mixed up one of my original songs.”
Hayley has said she will making more music which will be released later this year.
