Appeal following assault in Croxley Green

Police investigating an assault that occurred in Croxley Green are releasing an image of a man they wish to speak with as part of their enquiries. The incident occurred at around 11.45am on Wednesday, September 2, on the River Chess towpath, off Scots Hill. A woman in her 40s was walking her dog with a friend and their children when they encountered a person on the path. The woman was punched after an altercation regarding the dog. The woman sustained swelling and reddening to the face. Safer Neighbourhood Team Sergeant Ryan Hemmings said: “Although this image doesn’t show the man’s face, we believe that someone may recognise him from his stature, hair and clothing. “It’s possible this man may have information that could assist our investigation and I would ask anyone who believes they know his identity, or has any information in relation to this incident, to contact me or my team.” Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact the Rickmansworth and District Safer Neighbourhood Team via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference C2/15/2087.
