A teenager has been charged for possessing a firearm and will appear at magistrates court today (August 15).
Vinal Rathnaweera, aged 18, from Watford, was arrested on August 13 after he was allegedly seen holding a gun on Albert Road South near Pryzm nightclub in Watford.
Officers attended and detained him and three men before seizing a gun, ammunition and a vehicle.
He has been charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition for a firearm and will appear at Hatfield Remand Court.
Three other men from Watford – two aged 18 and one aged 19 – were also arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
They have all been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
