CHARGED: Chalfonts woman charged with helping killer evade police

Published on: 6th June 2023   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

A Chalfont St Giles woman is one of four individuals who have been charged with helping a man who killed a grandfather in High Wycombe evade police capture.

Andrew Ballantyne, 55, was attacked and killed in July 2021. The perpetrators, James Scott and Asher Anderson, were jailed last year for Mr Ballantyne’s manslaughter.

Shortly afterwards, three other individuals were jailed after pleading guilty to charges of violent disorder. Now, four more people have appeared in court charged with assisting the men with avoiding police apprehension.

Keeli Green, 33, of Bowstridge Lane, Chalfont St Giles, is charged with having been in contact with Anderson between August 3, 2021, and August 6, 2021, and not telling police despite knowing his whereabouts.

Along with Zachary Kaczynski, Lauren Bartlett and Megan Harbour, Green is set to face trial at Reading Crown Court on April 15, 2024.

However, Green is currently forming an application to dismiss the charges against her. A hearing for this proposed dismissal is currently scheduled for Thursday, July 27, 2023.
