Edgware & Kingsbury FC have announced a new manager in the hopes of changing their fortunes this campaign.
The club have parted company with Ray Dadzie and brought in former Rayners Lane boss Scott Patmore as the new man in the dugout.
Patmore, who secured promotion into Step 5 with Rayners Lane in 2023, spoke to Stanmore & Edgware News about taking on the role, and he said he was under no illusions about how tough the job will be.
Edgware & Kingsbury are bottom of the division Patmore was promoted out of, and seven points adrift of safety.
Scott said: “It’s a massive challenge. I’m not shying away from the fact that it’ll be a challenge, but I’m really pleased to be back.
“All I’m focusing on is this year; I believe surviving is achievable. My focus is purely on surviving.”
Scott said he will be looking for players set to head to the club in an effort to change the club’s fortunes, but would need to assess the situation at the club when he takes his first training session tonight (Thursday, January 16).
He said: “I’m aware of any player not currently going for the title.
“We’ll stay up by clawing our way up the league. We need momentum.”
In a statement by Edgware & Kingsbury on their website, the club said: “Scott brings with him a wealth of experience, having achieved success in his managerial career. Known for his tactical acumen, leadership qualities, and dedication to developing both the team and individual players, Scott is perfectly suited to lead the club into an exciting new chapter.”
