CHANGES TO CHARGES: Parking charges in Bushey and Radllett suspended as result of coronavirus outbreak

Published on: 8th April 2020   |   By: Amneet Kaur   |   Category: Uncategorized

Parking charges and fines in Bushey have been suspended until further notice in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

This started on March 24 at 8am. Hertsmere Borough Council will keep this initiative under review for the coming weeks and they will react to any further developments where and when necessary.

Double yellow lines are still being enforced to stop any dangerous parking and to keep the traffic flowing.

Cllr Jean Heywood, portfolio holder for transport, said: “We are making some adjustments to our services, in line with government guidelines, as part of the huge effort by everyone to tackle the coronavirus outbreak.

“The suspension of parking enforcement does also include the residential controlled parking zones. We recognise the concerns in residential areas where people are now at home. We’re facing exceptional challenges presented by the coronavirus and we all need to play a role in responding to that.”
