A St Albans-based Taekwon-Do club are celebrating after winning several medals at a recent competition.
St Albans Taekwon-Do has been based in St Albans since April 1994 under the guidance of Master Snow, a qualified 8th Dan Black Belt.
He and his team took part in the 20th South East Taekwon-Do opens, the UK’s biggest regional event, at the Hertfordshire Sports Village on March 3.
Members from the age of six up to 50 competed in semi-contact sparring, patterns and special technique sections.
The St Albans club gained 6th position in the national league table, and both their under-12s and over-13s teams won silver medals in the five-person pattern team event. Overall, they returned home with a haul of 15 medals.
Master Snow said: “As the chief instructor, I was proud of them all. Whether they won or not, they are all champions to me.”
