A second half penalty was enough to send Kings Langley through to the next stage of the Southern League Challenge Cup last night (Tuesday).
The Lango got off to a strong start, piling the pressure on Biggleswade. In the 11th minute Callum Adebiyi thought he had given the home side the lead when he headed the ball into the back of the next but the goal was ruled out for offside.
The home side bounced back and had a couple of good chances on goal, but the Kings defence were able to clear the ball away.
In the 76th minute Eoin McKeown was brought down in the box and Charlie Ruff calmly buried the ball in the back of the net.
The First Round of the cup is expected to be played the week commencing September 30, 2019.
