Two Abbots Langley funeral directors have been named as two of Watford’s Centenary Heroes, having been nominated by residents.
Daniel and Adam Ginder run M. K. Ginder & Sons Funeral Directors, having taken over the business from their father Martyn following his passing. Since then, they have become mainstays of both the Abbots Langley and Watford communities.
In March, the brothers were presented with their award certificates by Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor. The Centenary Heroes initiative recognises people who have made a positive contribution to the town of Watford as part of its centenary celebrations this year.
Mayor Taylor said of the brothers: “Due to their effort, hard work and dedication to the community, they have helped many bereaved families at the most difficult time of their life.
“Their commitment to the Watford community has also been shown through their tireless support and sponsorship of local organisations, including the Peace Hospice Care and Watford FC CSE Trust, and events such as Remembrance Day and the Abbots Langley Tough Ten.”
